Similarly to Senku, Xeno is interested in using his knowledge to change the entire world. However, unlike Senku who is willing to learn with the intention to learn about the universe and his new-found goals to save all of humanity from the petrification, Xeno is only interested in using his knowledge to take over the world. He is a confident man who is passionate about learning about conducting experiments and learning about science. He shows that he is interested in understanding the mystery behind the petrified swallows and the petrification weapon.

In the past, he took interest in Senku for the young man’s knowledge. Xeno took his opportunity to teach Senku when the latter wanted to help with his rocket experiment. Xeno was respectful of Senku and was interested to know about Senku’s dreams as a genius. When Xeno realizes that Senku was only interested in learning about everything in the universe than to use his knowledge to take over the world, Xeno saw Senku as someone different from him and a potential rival.

Xeno shows that he is reliant of his own subordinates and would not underestimate or demean them. For example, Xeno shows that he trusts Stanley for his expertise use of firearms and his other subordinates. When Xeno, Stanley, and the other broke free at the same time, he thinks that is because he thinks they are all very intelligent for the petrification for the millennia. Since breaking free of his petrification, Xeno expressed interest in taking over the world.

Xeno reveals himself to be very prideful and egotistical and feels that he deserves to be rightful ruler of the world. In contrast to Senku, Xeno is shown to prefer crueler methods of dealing with an enemy. For example during his battle with the Kingdom of Science, Xeno preferred to have the leader the opposing forces killed unlike Senku who only wanted to capture the leader. When interacting with Gen, a member of the Kingdom of Science, Xeno shows that he is welcoming of Gen. However, Xeno is distrustful of outsiders like Gen and thinks that he is an enemy sent to undermine him.

Xeno is not entirely distrustful towards others, however, in particular with his apprentice, Senku. When he found out that Senku was alive and was in America, he recalled the times he spent tutoring him and the day he met him in person. He was briefly hesitant on having Stanley assassinate him, but unfortunately, he saw Senku and his vision as a threat to his own agenda and decided that he needed to be rid of. When he sees Senku for the first time in America, Xeno gives a genuine smile and was both surprised and relieved that Senku did not die. Despite being captured by Senku and the Kingdom of Science, he choses to make a brief alliance with him in order to defeat the Whyman. During the alliance, he is shown to cooperate with Senku and Chrome when discussing the petrification.

When Senku contacted NASA employees with help with his rocket experiment, Xeno expresses interest in Senku’s question and helped him. From that moment on, Xeno would mentor Senku on science subjects such as physics and other subjects online. At one point, Xeno wanted to know about Senku’s goals with his high-intelligence. Xeno explains that he wanted to use his knowledge to take over the world while Senku wanted to use his knowledge to know about the world. When Senku traveled to America, Xeno briefly meets him in person to observe the science experiment that was built before the latter traveled back home.

As scientists were studying the mysterious petrification on swallows, Xeno pointed out to a colleague that number of swallows were identical to the number of social media posts online and cites Senku for finding that data. Xeno observes one of the petrified swallows and notices that it is covered in an unknown mineral. The scientist also notices that the swallow they were studying was conscious because of the brainwaves coming from it.

Xeno then meets with many scientists at a science expo to discuss the petrified swallows and the potential of it being terrorism. Xeno reveals to Stanley and a few others that he is surprised that the bird is still conscious despite being stone. As they discuss the petrified swallows, the bright light appears. Stanley tries to shield Xeno from the light and reminds everyone that after they are hit by the light, that they should continue to think and not let their mind and consciousness fade away. Xeno, Stanley, and every person on Earth were turned to stone. For thousands of years, Xeno kept his mind conscious by thinking continuously and refusing to have his mind fade. After 3,700 years, Xeno breaks out of being petrified. Xeno’s subordinates soon break out of their petrification after maintaining their consciousness for the past three millennia.

When his subordinate were released from being petrified, Xeno used the Platinum that Carlos had for his ring to build a castle and a weapons and resources manufacturing plant. Xeno declares that he intends to take this opportunity to rule over the world and that he will expand on the territory that he has and will take over the world.

New American City Arc

Xeno and his subordinates realize that there are new individuals in his territory. After Stan fights against members of the kingdom of science on his airplane and had his plane taken out of the sky by them, Xeno tells Stanley what materials were used to take down the plane. From this, they deduced that the enemy has a scientist too.

When Gen purposely allows himself to get captured by Stanley and taken to Xeno’s castle, Xeno introduces himself to Gen and introduces the latter to his right-hand, Stanley. Xeno tries to extract information from Gen by putting him through a polygraph examination and found that either Gen was too honest or he was lying. Xeno admits that he likes both traits in an individual. Xeno was interested to know about a genius scientist that Gen was with. Gen lied and said the scientist’s name was Dr. Taiju.

Xeno contacts the members of the Kingdom of Science through telecommunications. Xeno to the best of his abilities tries to speak to the members of science in Japanese so that he can speak to Dr. Taiju. When Taiju speaks to him and tells him that attempting to kill them is not nice, Xeno brushes off his comment with an apology. Xeno and tells Taiju that he has an advantage with the haberbosch plant that can help him manufacture weapons and gunpowder. Xeno continues to tell Taiju that his people are at a severe disadvantage and tells him that his own people were able to break free of their petrification because of their mental concentrated efforts. Xeno doubts that Taiju’s crew was able to do that and wanted to know how they broke free of their petrification. Xeno offers that Taiju and his people join him and there would not be any conflict. Taiju tells Xeno that he refuses to give him the revival fluid and Xeno states that their negotiations have not worked out before hanging up.

Xeno meets with Stanley and the others and tells him that he should pin down the enemies and assassinate the leader of the group. As has been an entire day that Stanley gets into position and having Luna infiltrate the Kingdom of Science’s ship, Xeno realizes that Senku is the genius scientist and tells Stanley to not shoot at Taiju. After realizing for a moment that Senku was the genius scientist, Xeno uses a recording of Senku’s voice to pin down his size and gives a description to Stanley. Stanley asks if it was okay to shoot down Senku. Xeno thought for a moment about his interactions with Senku in the past. He recalls telling Senku that they both could rule over the entire world and Senku’s rejection of his idea. Realizing that Senku would never accept his vision of ruling over the world and would be in the way of his plans, Xeno solemnly orders Stanley to kill Senku. Stanley shoots Senku and leaves him for dead.

The next day, Xeno, Stanley, and his other subordinates meet together to discuss and prepare for their new plans against the Kingdom of Science. As Stanley fights against Ryusui and Senku in an aerial battle, Xeno makes an observation of the battle on the river. He notes how his men are on a submarine below the Perseus as his enemies had their attention on the aerial battle. Xeno has his men attack his enemies on the Perseus ship. Xeno gloats that he has a check mate when Stanley confronts members of the Kingdom Science on his own and stops Matsukaze and Mozu. However, Xeno is shocked when Senku contacts him to tell him that he was not the only one who sent their top warrior. Xeno is then sees Tsukasa appearing in front him pointing his spear to Xeno’s face. In a matter of moments, Xeno is taken hostage by the Kingdom of Science. Xeno and Chrome went into the underground tunnel and went onto a wagon in order to get away from his castle. However, Chrome’s device backfires and it caused a cave-in near the entrance and exit of tunnel. Xeno was interested in Chrome for his intellect and started up a conversation with him in order to get him on side. Chrome declines Xeno’s offer to join him. As Xeno’s subordinates and the Kingdom of Science race to get them out of the tunnel, the Kingdom of Science manages to take Xeno and Chrome before his men could.

Xeno is tied up by the Kingdom of Science and escorted away from the castle. He is then shocked to see Ryusui and Senku arrive, smiling at the sight of his old apprentice. He remarks on how Stanley never fails that in assignment but notes that Senku still lost with his ship. Senku and his group then take one of Xeno’s yachts and move out. Xeno then witnessed them contact Dr. Brody for truth and he is shocked when Senku reveals the ingredients of the Revival formula and to establish Corn city.

Senku and his group use the motorboat and speed past the Perseus ship past Stanley and the others. As the motorboat makes it way to the South America, the source of the global petrification, Xeno tells Senku that he knows about the mysterious radio wave signal that comes from the Moon and the origin of the petrification.

South America Arc

Xeno is soon untied and has a conversation with Senku and Chrome about the petrification beam and how it operates. During their conversation they deduce the location of the petrification in northern South America, the composition of the petrification beam as a luminous substance that took within an hour to cover the globe, and additional details about the petrification.

Dr. Xeno and the Kingdom of Science makes it to land and finds a woman named Dr. Chelsea. Xeno reunites with her and is surprised that she ventured south after being depetrified. With her knowledge on the geography of South America, the team sets off to sea where they manage to throw off Stanley’s group from finding them. They make preparations to split into two groups to distract Stanley as the other group that Xeno is a part of makes it back to land to help make rubber for their adventure through the Amazon Rain Forest.

Xeno continues to stick to the group as they travel into South America. He also overhears and eavesdrops on the Kingdom of Science’s plan to try and outmaneuver Stanley’s group. After some time, the group reached an area in the Amazon Rain forest where they found the source of the petrification that turned humanity to stone a few millennia ago which was a large pyramid that is made up of thousands of petrification devices. As the group discusses the pyramid, the team makes preparations to leave the area since Stanley and his team may catch up to them. To prevent Stanley and his team from locating the Perseus ship, Senku has the ship coated in petrification devices so that Stanley’s group cannot detect any radio signal. The group is successful for a while until Xeno manages to tip of Stanley’s group where Senku and his allies would be going. When the Kingdom of Science makes it to their intended location to try and find more resources for their plans to revive humanity, Stanley’s group reaches the area. Stanley and his associates begin to fatally wound Senku’s allies and also fatally wounds Senku during an attack on the base. Xeno greets Stanley after the two reunites. However, Xeno is surprised when he notices the petrification light beam from over the horizon. Xeno realizes that this was a part of Senku’s plan to stop him, Stanley, and his associates since Senku and his allies were getting overwhelmed by Stanley’s forces. Xeno makes the effort to speak to Senku stating that they both could have ruled the world together. Senku states that he only wants to use his knowledge to understand the universe and that he is not interested taking control of the world. Xeno accepts Senku’s stance and they are both petrified by the light along with everyone nearby and the remainder of humanity.

Europe Arc

Seven years after the global petrification event, Dr. Xeno is depetrified by Senku as an ally to help them restore humanity and confront the Whyman. Xeno accepts his role and acknowledge his petrified teammate Stanley as he prepares to help Senku and the others. Xeno profess himself to be a villain and a science user of darkness while Senku is the science user of light that are both necessary for this journey. Xeno helps the Kingdom of Science and their allies by helping them create an engine for the rocket-ship that they will use to travel to the Moon. Xeno also helps collect many rocks and materials that will be used to create superalloys and strong enough metals to help with the space travel. As the team works together, it splits into three groups with Senku and a portion of team travelling across the globe to collect more resources, another group to travel to North America to restore the people who were petrified and continue their plans, and Xeno and his group to stay in South America to continue to make stronger superalloys and materials for the rocket-ship engine.

He is the one who initially assaults Senku’s group once they disembark on the territory of the United States. [9] Once Dr. Xeno has been captured by the Kingdom of Science, Stanley pursues them on their way to South America in order to retrieve his longtime friend and leader. [10]

He is the secondary antagonist of the New America City Arc and the primary antagonist of the South America Arc.

Appearance

Stanley is a tall, well-built man with very feminine facial features. He has arched eyebrows and relaxed-looking, light colored eyes with what appears to be dark eyeliner underneath. Similarly, he has glossy, colored lips that suggest he may be wearing lipstick. His blonde hair is of medium length and neatly slicked back, with a large strand falling in his face and the small area around his ears shaved short. His petrification scar runs horizontally across his face in a jagged line.

When in battle, he wears a large suit of armor which covers most of his body along with his head. The armor is extremely intricate, with large shoulder pads that are decorated with a feathery material hanging from the bottom of them that covers Stanley’s body like a cape. The mask he wears with this armor is surrounded with similar material that hangs off his head, somewhat resembling a lion’s mane.

Outside of battle however, he wears a dark bodysuit with gloves, a back holster, knee pads, and armored greaves that have spikes on the side of the soles. Even in this state, he also carries a large bolo knife in his belt and a pistol on his hip at all times. He is usually seen smoking a cigarette.

Personality

From what is seen about Stanley, he appears to be a «shoot first, ask later»-type of person. This was seen when he attacked the Kingdom of Science when they arrived, despite them doing nothing to warrant an attack. However, Xeno stated that this was because Stanley wanted to elaborate to them the advanced skill of his benefactor, should they be hostile.

He does get amused when he finds something interesting, as seen when he was intrigued by the Kingdom of Science dodging his machine gun fire, bringing down his airplane, and Gen lying about the Petrification Device to allow his allies to escape him. Owing to his past as a soldier, Stanley is very observant of his opponents. He carefully inspected Senku’s group as they hunted alligators to find out how much threat they pose to him and his allies. When he prepared to take Gen away, Stanley performed a pat down for weapons. Furthermore, Stanley sent Luna as a spy to draw out the science leader, knowing full well that they would help someone in need and that they wouldn’t abandon an ally.

Stanley will also get frustrated if he fails in a way, suggesting that he is a perfectionist. This was seen when he expressed anger at learning of Senku’s survival or Senku’s group escaping. [10] Dr. Xeno makes a scorning remark about his frequent habit of smoking, something the former has no problems with. Stanley has no qualms about endangering and potentially killing the intruders, regarding his previous assault on them merely as a show of power. [11] When Luna called him out on wanting to murder the alleged science leader of the opposing team, he silenced her with a mere cold-blooded glare. [12] Once the former soldier locks Senku as his target and gets permission to shoot from Xeno, he unflinchingly attempts to assassinate the teenager without a single shred of doubt or hesitation, indicating that he will resort to cruelty without question if it’s an order from Xeno. [13] Nevertheless, he is still a professional soldier, and as such, respects the rules of war. Francois concludes that he will not attempt to harm Suika or them, provided their identities are truly that of civilians unrelated to the Kingdom of Science. [14] Although he respects the military code, not only is he capable of murder, but also an indiscriminate, systematic elimination of anyone who opposes his military objective. [15] [16] [5] When realizing that he was going to be petrified a second time, Stanley initially tried to prevent it but then gave up after realizing it will be in vain and not being willing to doom humanity. He showed himself composed in the face of defeat, as he complimented his enemies before he took one last smoke from a cigarette and was petrified again. [17]

Attesting to his extreme willpower to endure four millennia under the effects of petrification, Xeno doesn’t doubt in the slightest that Stanley can complete a task once he sets his mind onto it. Stanley himself even confirms this by stating no matter how hard the task is, he can get it done. [18] While he does seem to show strong loyalty to Dr. Xeno and faith in his abilities, he doesn’t seem to hold his other allies in high regard. Of note, once he shot Senku, rather than retrieve Luna, who was still enemies with the Kingdom of Science at the time, he chose to leave her there, despite her status as a spy becoming known and showed no concern for her safety or even an attempt to rescue her in. [19]

Stanley will do anything to ensure Xeno’s safety. [16] His loyalty stretches beyond companionship, being ready to commit atrocities so his friend can establish a world according to his ambitions. [15] Within moments of being petrified, Stanley decides to put his existence and freedom on the line so Xeno can continue pursuing his dream. [5]

Abilities and Skills

Stanley is a capable warrior with years of combat experience. Xeno vouches for both his skill and tenacity, describing him as his capable knight. Charlotte and Max also compliment him as skilled, saying the Kingdom of Science would have no chance against him. [20] [21] Indeed, the Kingdom of Science had to start another Petrification event to defeat Stanley otherwise they would have suffered a major loss of their allies.

Tsukasa Shishio, a skilled warrior in his own right even believed it would be a dangerous outcome to revive Stanley in South America, due to the threat he poses. [22]

Combat proficiency: Judging from his background, as well as his assault on Senku’s group, Snyder is a valuable member of Dr. Xeno’s group for his skill in modern warfare. At first glance, he could tell that Gen was not a developed fighter and that Senku’s warrior group should be approached with caution. He has good reflexes, as he casually avoided a spear strike from Moz with little effort.

Equipment

Stanley carries a machine gun on him. He also carries a pistol and a dagger on his side.
