I really like crisps. This is my favorite food. I usually sit in front of a computer and can eat a whole pack while watching my favorite TV show. Parents say that crisps are harmful and should not be eaten so much. I myself understand this, but I still eat them. They can have many tastes: bacon; cheese; onion; banana; tomatoes. I like bacon crisps the most. This is delicious. My friends love crisps too. It seems to us that we can not live without this dish.

There are a lot of vitamins in fruit and vegetables. Each vitamin is responsible for diffeent things in human body. For example, vitamin A is necessary for eyes. Vitamin B is necessary for the nervous system. Vitamin C is important for bones and teeth.
To stay healthy you should eat healthy food. But unhealthy food is tasty because it has a lot of sugar or fat. Also it has no vitamins. For example, there is no vitamins in Coke, chips or fast food.

There are games to play. You can win a prize. Throw a ring over one of the toys! Or if you are strong, try to ring the bell with a big hammer.
Some children are dressed as clowns. They play the guitar and sing songs. People give them a lot of money, and the children put them in their hats.
You can buy ice-creams and balloons. You can have a ride on a pony or jump on a trampoline.
Everyone has fun and helps to make lots of money for their school.

How did the hamburger become the most popular, most typical American food?
The hamburger has no connection with ham. It got its name from the German town of Hamburg, which was famous for its ground steak. German immigrants to the United States introduced the ‘hamburger steak’. Then, the introduction of the bun was an important part of the answer. Another important part is McDonald’s, one of the world’s most famous fast food restaurants.
You can find them in Japan, Germany, Panama, Guatemala, Australia, Portugal, Hong Kong and even Moscow. In fact, there are 13,000 in 120 countries. There’s even a floating McDonald’s in St. Louis, Mississippi, and another in Alaska. The first McDonald’s was opened in Des Plaines, Illinois, and is now a museum.
What makes American fast food so popular?
Lee Cho, a South Korean, says: “I often go to MacDonald’s. It’s clean, less expensive than other restaurants and saves time.”
Natalia Petrovna, a girl from Moscow, says “I find the hamburgers very tasty and the sundaes with caramel sauce are out of this world”
Karen Smith, from Frankfurt: “MacDonald’s is our favourite meeting point. We can sit there and talk for hours in a friendly atmosphere. There are lots of young people around. The food is cheap and the milkshakes…yum…”
Older people are very critical of this sort of food. Lots of young people in the USA are overweight and parents blame these high-calorie foods that their children gobble up in large quantities.

VI. – Let is repeat once again when we use Some and when Any. Look at the blackboard.
VII. And now we do the next exercise. Look at the screen, you must say and write the words connecting with such words: Drinks, Vegetables, Fruits, Other foot, Sweat food.

Traditional English food has been greatly influenced by other national cuisines in recent years. Despite this fact, if you travel to Britain, you can still be served up traditional English dishes in a restaurant or at a hotel.
A typical English breakfast is usually quite big and substantial. It includes pork sausages, bacon and eggs, tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms and a toast. Some people enjoy porridge, fruit and yogurt in the morning, followed by a toast and jam, or orange marmalade. A traditional breakfast drink is tea, which British people prefer having with cold milk. Another popular morning drink is orange juice.
For many Englishmen lunch is a fast meal. In big cities there are a lot of sandwich bars where office clerks can choose all sorts of sandwiches with meat, fish, chicken, ham, prawns, eggs, cheese, vegetables and lettuce. English pubs also serve good food for lunch, hot and cold. Quite a lot of workers go to famous “fish and chips shops” and buy their favourite deep fried cod or haddock with French fries.
A lot of Englishmen drink their 5 o’clock tea. It’s a traditional light meal after work. People enjoy their favourite teas with cookies, cakes, freshly baked sweet buns, scones and other pastries.
British people eat their evening meal at about 7 o’clock, when all members of the family are at home together. As a rule, a typical dinner is meat and vegetables. It can be roast chicken or lamb with potatoes, or steamed vegetables with meat gravy. For dessert, English wives cook various puddings and serve them with ice-cream or jam.
On Sundays British families like to sit together at the table enjoying roast beef, lamb or chicken, served with Yorkshire pudding and dressed with English mustard, apple sauce, cranberry sauce or mint sauce.
English food is simple but very delicious. Today it continues to merge in national cuisines from all over the world.
